Have you ever heard of Orange, Virginia? It's a small, quaint town just north of Charlottesville and it's filled with lovely vineyards and B&B's. It's actually the place where my husband took us for our one year anniversary and the birthplace of what has become Flor de Casa Designs today. It holds a special place in my heart and when we were contacted by this couple for their Orange, Virginia wedding, I couldn't help but be excited to return.
We designed a modern, classic for this one incorporating flowers in classic tones of ivory, greenery and hints of light blue but designed with a bit of a whimsical flare to make the flowers take on a more modern look and aesthetic. Their wedding venue (Market at Grelen) was just lovely. Filled with gardens and beautiful landscapes to watch the sunset this amazing place was the perfect backdrop for a romantic, outdoor wedding. We created an asymmetrical ceremony backdrop design with lush greenery and flowers in ivory and hints of blue. We used light blue delphinium along with white roses and white stock for accent along with white ranunculus in the bride's bouquet. The couple opted to have a tent where we hung greenery from the chandeliers. With rentals from MS Events, couture napkins from Nuage Designs and catering from Caribbean Caterers, this turned out to be an amazing day.
Planned by The Hive Wedding Co and photographed by Sarah Shank Photography, this Labor Day weekend wedding was simply amazing. Enjoy the inspiration, folks!
