A micro wedding at The Line DC

It comes as no surprise that tens of thousands of couples around the United States (and the world, really) have had to drastically change their wedding plans due to COVID. Some couples have postponed up to 3 times! My heart has gone out to each and every one of them as I know how difficult of a circumstance this has been.

Some of my other couples opted to keep their original wedding date with a reduced guest count; and that's exactly what Danielle & Michael did. Their Line Hotel wedding in Washington D.C. was the sweetest intimate wedding. Family and friends joined them in celebrating their union (even all the way from Costa Rica). Danielle wore this gorgeous ballroom gown with a fur shawl that kept her warm during this winter wedding. It fit the time of year perfectly. We ended 2020 by celebrating them on December 31st.

They wanted a minimalist aesthetic to their wedding with classic touches using flowers in ivory tones and slight hints of light blue. Their tented wedding on the rooftop of The Line DC was perfect. With a long rectangular table seating about 20 guests, ivory taper candles atop brass candlesticks, ivory sheer runners and simple budvases, this wedding day was a great way to end the year.

Bouquets are always show-stoppers at a wedding and her bouquet was designed with beautiful Tibet roses and accented with Phalaenopsis Orchids that cascaded down the front of her beautiful gown. Bee Two Sweet captured this micro wedding beautifully and I can't wait for my next wedding at The Line! **Spoiler alert, it's this September! :D**

Til' then, I leave you with some more inspiration from another winter wedding we did at The Line.
