Goodstone Inn Wedding Venue

Today, we are taking a deep dive into one of our all-time favorite Northern Virginia wedding venues. The Goodstone Inn & Restaurant.

Nestled atop a tree-covered hill, The Goodstone is in quaint Middleburg, Virginia. This small town is knows as the Nation's Horse and Hunt Capital and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was established in 1787 and is filled with one of a kind boutiques, shops, restaurants and restaurants along it's Main St. Along with the award winning Salamander Resort & Spa also calling Middleburg, VA it's home.

A short 5 minute drive from Middleburg's Main St. You will find The Goodstone Inn, perfectly secluded on Snake Hill Rd.

One of the main reasons this venue is one of our top places to design in, is their flexibility with event day set up. Given that this venue typically will require a tent to host larger receptions, couples will usually choose the option to book the space for the entire weekend (also another reason we love this venue. Weekend long weddings are our absolute favorite). While booking out the venue for the entire weekend is not a must, I have found that couples who opt to do this, really enjoy all that Middleburg, VA has to offer while providing their guests a unique and unforgettable experience.

Oh, did we mention that couples also have the option to book rooms and entire houses located on their 100+ acre property for some of their guests and/or immediate family? Yep! Just another reason why we love this venue.

There are several reasons why a wedding at The Goodstone is special. In our humble opinion, there's nothing quite like Virginia Hunt Country. Rolling valleys, incredible wineries, luxury accommodations, a private estate for you and your guests, a fine dining experience at Goodstone and other area restaurants, boutique shops and so much more, make this place an incredible idea for a high end wedding experience.

The Goodstone has a few ceremony locations available with the most popular being in front of their ivy wall. There is also the conservatory, which is an indoor space with windows to host smaller events or an indoor ceremony. The conservatory can also be used as the rain plan at Goodstone, should that be necessary. Given that the conservatory can only accommodate a smaller guest count, couples will need to rent a tent to host larger events. With companies like Sugar Plumb Tents and Select Event Group, Goodstone Inn's sprawling lawns make the perfect places to create beautiful backdrops for tented weddings.

We have had the pleasure of designing under tents, in the conservatory and even seeing gorgeous events take place under glass tents at the Goodstone. Truly a remarkable place.

Now, let's talk a bit about cost. I know this all sounds dreamy and with a dreamy-sounding wedding, a high price tag is expected; but in reality, price can be relative. Couples looking to book their wedding can expect to spend anywhere from $75k - upwards of $200k depending on how long you will book the space for, guest count, tent option and decor style. The Goodstone Inn is also a fine dining establishment hosting dinner service during the week for guests and patrons having dinner reservations. With that said, The Goodstone has an in-house catering team, which couples use when booking the venue. Personally, we love this. It means you and your guests will experience fine dining for your wedding day ::insert chef's kiss::

If you are the kind of couple that appreciates being immersed in nature, luxury accommodations, premier service and a natural atmosphere this is the venue for you. A venue like this paired with organic, natural flowing florals will create the perfect recipe for a magical evening. If you've fallen in love with The Goodstone as much as we have, let's chat about how to create magic for your wedding day.

We can't wait!
