Wedding Inspiration for an Industrial Wedding Venue

Updated: May 25, 2020

A few weeks ago, I was approached by an organization I had never heard of before. The Big Fake Wedding. I spoke to a lovely lady who explained what they do and why they reached out to me. In a nutshell, The Big Fake Wedding is one event that consists of a bridal show, styled shoot and networking event all wrapped up into one. Several vendors come together and shared their skills to pull off a fake wedding! The event was such a success that we got the great news that Wedding Chicks featured us on their blog! #Happydance

We were able to transform Main Street Ballroom into the perfect place for a #citychic wedding in historic Ellicott City, MD. With the perfect mix of industrial and chic, Main Street Ballroom became the perfect setting for The Big Fake Wedding.

We were in charge of the ceremony backdrop and designing 2 of the 10 tables in the room. We were so in love with how both tables turned out. Having the opportunity to design a full event is what we live for. And when I say full event, I mean FULL event. We got to choose every detail that went into our designs. From the charger plates, to the napkins, votive candles, vases, linens, menu cards and flowers. We designed it all! (Psssst... Before we forget, creating a full event design specifically for small and intimate weddings also known as micro weddings these days is totally our thing. Read all about here.)

Ahem... Back to what we were saying.. Of course, it wouldn't have been possible without a little help of some awesome vendors. Vintage by Design Rentals, Rachel Kendall Events, and House of Catherine. You guys should seriously check them out. They are top notch!

Now for the good stuff! Enjoy some of my favorite images captured by We are the Cashmans, Britney Clause Photography and Ashton Kelley Photography.
